Il s'agit d'une matrice en métal moulé de forme parallélépipédique. La face principale comporte quatre pans coupés avec au centre un poinçon en creux à l'intérieur d'une rainure. Il se compose d'un carré central autour duquel se développe un décor végétal composé de palmettes.
