Le recto présente la photographie d'un homme allongé dans un intérieur oriental de couleur rouge, sur la moitié droite. Le bras d'une personne non visible, placé dans le coin inférieur droit, tend une tasse de thé, reposant sur une soucoupe, à l'homme assis. Sous la tasse, on peut voir, partiellement, un chat blanc tacheté à poils longs, couché près de l'homme.
