Le Christ, auréolé, la tête couronnée d'épines, est étendu sur la Croix et cloué par deux boureaux munis de marteaux. Deux hommes , demi-nu, attendent aussi d'être mis en croix ; derrière eux se tiennent des soldats Romains. La foule assiste à la scène.
