Incluse dans un cadre en bois, la scène peinte représente sur fond jaune le sacrifice d'Isaac. Abraham, de profil, vêtu d'un manteau bleu tend un couteau dans sa main gauche. Sa main est retenue par un ange vêtu de rouge et apportant un bélier pour le substituer à Isaac. Ce dernier, les yeux bandés, est habillé d'un pagne blanc. Il est assis sur un rectangle vert écaillé et bordé de doré figurant l'autel. La scène est surmontée d'un texte en langue arabe. Les baguettes du cadre en bois sont assemblée par des clous métalliques.
