The Mucem will reopen to the public on Monday 29 June — daily except Tuesdays from 10am to 8pm. These are our summer opening times for the period up to and including Sunday 4 October.

All admission charges are waived until 21 July inclusive to enable as a priority necessary adjusting to visit routes. Access will be more limited, visits will be redesigned, masks must be worn, and barrier measures will be mandatory.

The exhibition

The exhibition Superstar pharaohs, which had been due to open on 28 April, has been rescheduled for June 2022. It will be organised per dates planned in 2021 at the Musée de la civilisation du Québec.

The exhibition Model Clothing will open at the end of June at the fort Saint Jean, as well as a new collections abecedary, dedicated to flora. The latter is extended until 6 December.

The exhibition Sound Orient will be presented at J4 (2nd floor) from 22 July and will close on 4 January 2021.

The exhibition Folklore presented at the Centre Pompidou-Metz from June will be extended there. Thus, the exhibition at the Centre Pompidou-Metz will close on the evening of Sunday 4 October (instead of 21 September), and will open at the Mucem on 4 November (instead of 21 October). The end date and therefore the total duration of loans remains unchanged, since the last day of the exhibition at the Mucem remains 22 February 2021.

On the large stage on the 2nd floor (west) of J4, a new feature: the revival of the installation My name is nobody, based on an offering by Alexandre Perigot, co-produced with the fine arts museums of Nantes and Rennes, the Cneai and the Cnap in 2018, and presented from the end of June to mid-August. The corpus of anonymous works will connect the LaM de Villeneuve d’asq and the Fesch museum in Ajaccio.
