Food s’attache à faire parler des artistes contemporains des cinq continents sur l’agriculture et sur l’alimentation. Elle interroge le public sur la surconsommation, les inégalités entre riches et pauvres, les disparités entre pays producteurs et pays consommateurs, l’urbanisation des sociétés. Elle parle du renouvellement de formes de convivialité, de tabous et d’interdits liés à l’alimentation, de la remise en cause de nos gestes habituels, du formatage des images produites par la publicité. Food invites contemporary artists from five continents to address agriculture and eating. It stimulates public awareness of overconsumption, inequalities between rich and poor, imbalances between producer and consumer countries, and the urbanization of societies. It talks about new forms of conviviality, food-related taboos, the calling of our habitual actions into question, and the formatting of advertising images.
